Reflection on finished scale shift project
For my scale shift project I decided to build a big PEZ container. I really liked how it turned out, the size was good and I think it looked really good. I think the smiley face on top came out well also. I wish when i was making it I had more really big pieces of cardboard so i didn't have to tape smaller pieces together. I think it would have looked better if it was just four long pieces all connected together in a rectangle, there wouldn't have been holes and smaller pieces of cardboard over the holes. Also I probably could have cut out the squares I used to write out PEZ better so they were all the same size. Over all I really liked how my PEZ container turned out.

Relection on finished shoe sculpture
I think my shoe turned out really well. My shoe looks a lot like my real shoe, the shape, size, and lettering on the shoe are all pretty accurate compared to the real shoe. I think the cardboard and paper i used for my shoe were all the right materials to use. I used the paper for the lettering and the base color and then the cardboard for the basic shape and rest of the shoe. I also used silver nuts as holes where the shoe laces are suppose to be. The paper is more for the details rather then the actual shape or base of the shoe. The details on my shoe came out really well i think. I was able to do most of the lettering that was on the shoe, then I did the designs on the front and sides of the shoe as well.

Refelction on shoe sculpture in progress
I have really enjoyed this project so far, I think my shoe has come out pretty well so far. It is hard to shape cardboard but if you mess up you can always try again and get it right next time which is good. I only have to do the details on my shoe but i think that will be hard cause that is a main part to make it look realistic. I need to figure out what i will use for the color and the little details like the stitching and lace holes. It was a little hard when i got stuck on one part of my shoe and didn't know what to do next but Mr.Brooks helped with that. I think i have done well with the overall shape though, i wish the base a little skinner though.

What I know now
A representational sculpture is a sculpture that looks like another thing and a abstract sculpture is a sculpture that doesn't necessarily look like any thing real. You make a found object sculpture with different objects you have or find somewhere. The things aren't necessarily usually used to make sculptures but maybe other things you could use to make them...
A sculpture I remember
Sabrina Fiori has a sculpture outside her house of a face. I went to her house for a lacrosse dinner a few times and i remember that sculpture. It is just a green head making a funny face i believe.
My skills as an artist
My strengths in art I think, are painting and colors. I do not think I am that good at drawing, especially people. I also think I was pretty good and building the sculptures last year.
Why I'm taking Intermediate Sculpture
I signed up for this course because we made little sculptures in art principles last year and i thought that was fun and i liked making them. I also really enjoyed taking Mr. Brooks class.
